Margaret Jean Weitzel, a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend, passed on, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She was predeceased by her parents, Archie Hill and Margaret Hill (née Jackson), her brothers Andrew Hill and Norman Hill, and her former spouse, William H. Weitzel. Margaret's life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family, who were the heart of her world.
She is lovingly survived by her three children: Paula Mailloux and her husband Peter Mailloux, Bill Weitzel, and Julie Weitzel, along with Julie's long-time partner, Steve Clerc. Her pride and joy extended to her five grandchildren: Alexander Weitzel and Nicole Weitzel, their mother Heather Weitzel; Cody Clerc, Danielle Clerc, and Patrick Mailloux. Each of them carries forward her enduring love and encouragement.
Margaret had a profound love for sports, with hockey holding a special place in her heart. She delighted in cheering on her grandchildren as they excelled in hockey, baseball, soccer, synchronized swimming, and all the other activities that brought them joy. Her enthusiasm and presence at their events brought an unmistakable warmth and pride to the sidelines.
Margaret will be remembered for her boundless love, her support of her family, and her infectious joy in celebrating their achievements. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
