I was saddened to hear of Don's passing. I worked with Don for several years in the 90's at London's Genest Detention Centre for Youth. He was a gifted counsellor who had no problem communicating with troubled teens. Over the last few years I would often run into Don at Costco where I'd get an update on his travels to Mexico, or his career as an impersonator, I'd like to pass along my deep condolences to all members of his family.

Don was an EA at my high school. Though he was never assigned to work directly with me, I remember the compassionate, loving, witty aura he always had. He just had a way of making students feel comfortable, and he never saw anyone as "lesser than" if they had a disability. I appreciated him for always treating me like a human and being a safe person. I will also cherish the memories I have of seeing him at the Tiki Bar at the JLC (now called Canada Life Place) with Angela and always convincing me to get a virgin piña colada!
My thoughts and love go out to Don's family and friends; he was an exceptional human who will be dearly missed.

I'm betting Don & Dunc are sharing a few laughs up there right about now...
The world is a little less interesting without him. RIP Don.

We were shocked and sad to hear of Don’s passing. Don was a really great guy; always in a great mood and quick to share his wonderful sense of humour with whoever he happened to be with. He’s a man we’ll never forget. Rest well, Don.
Love, Steve & Fran Black. (Debbie’s Uncle & Aunt)
