Dear Cathy, Heather and family: I just recently heard of Shirley's passing. What a beautiful photo, just as I remember her at the Parkwood Fitness Centre and in the seated aerobics class! Such great memories. I can still picture your dad and mom in the gym - so much a part of the spirit there :). Such a special, supportive place with so much camaraderie, where so many friendships were made. Your parents, and your mom, were such a special part of that "family". While I haven't seen Shirley in a few years, I remember her so fondly...her strength, sense of humour, enjoyment of people, her talking about her family..... and the memories make me smile. I was deeply saddened to hear that Shirley passed away. I am truly sorry for your loss. I’m grateful that I had the chance to help her as being one of her PSW and I had the privilege of knowing her and witnessing her strength after what she’s been through in her life. I will always remember her and cherish the time I had spent with her. I truly miss her calling me “little girl” every time as she couldn’t remember my name at first.
