Obituary of Jason William Lively
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason “Jay” William Lively, who left us far too soon on July 20, 2025, in Woodstock, Ontario, at the age of 52.
Born on April 30, 1973, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Jay was the beloved son of Carolyn Lively and the late Patrick “Pat” Lively. From a young age, Jay had an innate curiosity and a gift for fixing just about anything. Whether it was a complicated machine or a small everyday issue, he was the one people turned to when they needed a solution.
Jay spent over 20 years servicing dairy parlors, work that connected him deeply to the agricultural community and allowed him to build countless friendships. In more recent years, he found new purpose and joy in repairing RV trailers, always eager to help others get back on the road and onto their next adventure.
Jay approached life with an open heart and an adventurous spirit. He never passed up a chance to try something new—no matter how big or small the adventure. His quick wit, problem-solving mind, and compassionate nature touched everyone who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving children, Cole(Alyssa) and Vanessa, and his treasured grandchildren, Kingston and Piper, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also lovingly remembered by the mother of his children, Kelly. Jay will be deeply missed by his siblings, Stacey(Don), Lance(Nellie), Nick(Tina), and Sarah(Adam), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Jay’s life will be held at 3948 Elgin Road, Mossley on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, take a moment to fix something in his honor—or better yet, plan a little adventure.
