It is hard for me to come to grips with a world without Donnie in it, from watching him grow at the little white house, to the hockey years, travelling to Schomberg for the finals, the snowmobile years, the CB years calling for the Duck, the farming years, race track stories and chasing the supers, to family man and his children growing up and getting married, I was lucky enough to see it all and and be a part of it. It was a wonderful time to be alive.
Donnie, say hi to the folks, to Herb and Lewis and all that we knew that have gone on before, to the family and friends that remain, my deepest condolences, I have an appreciation of the empty spot Don leaves behind, this is not how I thought it would unfold, but it is time to be strong and carry on, he would not want it any other way.

hi Shelly and family, I was away last week and not able to make it to the Celebration of life.
Louise and I are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
My first memory of Don is him shooting hockey pucks in the cattle barn on Shore road pretending he was Guy La Fleur using a really bad French accent.
He was a great guy and he will be missed.

Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
My sincere condolences to you and your family, Shelley. Cherish the memories.

We are deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Don. We had a lot of fun with you guys at old timers hockey, the club house, tournaments and social gatherings. Whenever we saw him at the army navy sitting in his chair he always had a big smile and hug ready to greet you and happy to see everyone. We loved his laugh and the stories. It was nice to watch our kids grow up together. I would laugh when I saw shoreboy riding his tractor from his house to Ryan’s smiling and waving along the way. He was a great guy that will be missed by everyone but now he is at peace. Shelley, Ryan, Derek and Denise may all the great memories you have give you strength.

I fondly remember Don frequently cutting the grass at his home. Whenever I passed by, he would always give me a friendly wave with a big smile as he continued to master a perfectly cut lawn from his rider mower. I was always grateful for this, as it made me smile too.

So many memories, the little guy tearing through the little white house when Pete and I babysat to the young man with his lovely girlfriend Shelley at the big farmhouse. So thankful to know him as an adult with his infectious laugh and sense of humour. Rest in sweetest peace dear man, free of pain! Fly with eagles and angels. My heartfelt condolences.
