He was a loving and caring father to all of us.

Dear Barry,

Hi Chief — that’s what I used to call you, wasn’t it?

I still cannot believe that you are really gone.

All my memories of 1014 Waterloo Street are filled with your laughter and love.

We watched so many hockey games, drinking beer in the basement.

We laughed our heads off watching Mrs. Doubtfire.

We played golf together in Chi-Cheemaun.

We walked Nikkie together on sunny, rainy, and snowy days.

You taught me how to play “Cribbage”.

You also taught me how to drive.

You sometimes got heck from Beverley for messing things up, but you were always smiling.

You were a truly wonderful husband and father to all of us.

At the same time, you were a very lucky man to have a wonderful wife, Beverley, and two lovely daughters, Jen and Jenny.

You were always gentle, kind, and funny.

Your barbeque was simply great.

You were a loving and caring father to all of us.

You always looked out for us and made sure everything was okay.

You have given us so much love and joy to us.

You literally taught me how to be a good father during my days at 1014 Waterloo Street.

We miss you, Barry.

I know that you will be happy with Nikkie in heaven, but we are going to miss you so much.
