Obituary of John Stanley Barden
John S Barden passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Wed September 3rd, 2025.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 68 years, Gillian, and was a devoted father of children: Laura Griffith (Chris), Nick Barden (Joanne), Mike Barden, and Sarah Finlayson (Rob), 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. John and Gillian came to Canada from England in 1957 and John worked many years at the Ford Motor Company. In his retirement John enjoyed sailing, baking bread, living in BC, wine making, and most of all being known as "The ChairMan". John had a talent for making old and damaged wooden furniture new again. He was also very gifted at the craft of caning. The family would like to thank the staff at Henley Place in London Ont for their care and compassion.
At John's request there will be no funeral service.
