Obituary of Pete Short
We are saddened to announce the passing of Pete Short on Sept 10, at the age of 70.
He is survived by his loving wife Louise Short of 51 years, son Brandon Short (Kim), daughter Sarah Machado (Alex), and his grandchildren Bradley Short, Abby Short, and Matthew Machado. He is also survived by his sisters Josie Brand (Matt McConnell) and Sue Short (Jeanne Jodoin).
Pete proudly worked for the City of London for over 30 years and was employed at the Western Fair District for many years, where he formed lasting friendships. He treasured his time with family and friends outside of work, who brought joy and meaning to his life. He will be remembered for his loyalty, kind heart — and his love of golf, Detroit Tigers, darts, football and both of his Chevys.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 from 2 - 5 pm at The Willows Golf & Country Club 2124 Westchester Bourne, London. All are welcome to attend. Online condolences may be left at www.funeraloptions.ca
