Obituary of Thomas Bruce Mattingley

Tom passed away peacefully at home on September 30th, at the age of 75, surrounded by love—his wife Monica and his children Jeff (Leah) and Megan (Tim) by his side. Tom was a husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, teacher, coach, and friend—and held each of those roles with care, generosity and unwavering kindness. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren, and he gave that love back freely and fully.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Joanne, and carried her memory with him always. Tom lived his life with quiet integrity, humility and a sincere commitment to others. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or around the dinner table, he led with kindness and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. As he wished, cremation has taken place.

In memory of Tom donations can be made to the Alzheimers Society of London, a cause close to his heart.
