Obituary of Maurice Joseph Raymond Kenny
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Maurice Raymond Kenny at the Woodstock Hospital on October 28th, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Besides the countless pieces he carved and fashioned over his lifetime, Mau carved a giant hole in the hearts of those he left behind.
Mau was born on January 14th, 1953, in Val d'Or, Quebec to Alain Kenny and Marie Ann (Annie) Carroll. He leaves behind his spouse of 35 years, Lani Ashenhurst, her family, his sisters Carroll Bannon (Carmen), Frances "Frankie" Kenny, Jaqueline Belliveau (Gary), Murielle Kenny, (Randy Corsaut), his nieces and nephews., great-nieces and nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Kenneth (2024) and a nephew Danny (2024).
Mau will be remembered for his creativity, sense of humour, curiosity, gentleness and kindness.
A celebration of life will take place in late spring of 2026.
