Obituary of Christopher John Crow

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Christopher John Crow, born December 25th 1968, announce his sudden passing on November 18th, 2025.

Chris is survived by his two sons Colin and Cameron Crow, his mother Iris Fretter (Crow) and husband Keith Fretter, Father Jim Douglas, Aunt Joanne Crow, younger brother Justin Douglas, younger sister Kristen Ford, niece and nephews Faith, Mathew and Nathan Kovacs and  great niece Violet Restivo.

Christopher was known for his musical talents on both the drums and guitar and was proud of his accomplishments while entertaining family and friends during his time with his band Blue Funk, or just randomly picking up a beat box at a local jam session or open mic night.

With his tenacity to find joy and peace, Chris would often find solace in the beauty of nature around him. To receive a photo of a bird or neighbourhood squirrel that he had befriended was not uncommon for many that were close to him.

His walk through this life carried him on many journeys, allowing those he met along the way to have the opportunity to see his caring, compassionate and giving character.  His struggles through this life, allowed for him to be sympathetic to others who struggled and it was nothing to hear of him giving a helping hand to someone in need.

He was a proud son, brother, uncle and his family will miss him  and his quick wit immensely.

To honour Chris’ time with us, friends and family will be gathering in the early spring for a celebration of life at the Arthur Legion
