On November 18, 2025 I lost my son Chris. It was a sudden, unexpected heart attack that stole him from me and all who loved him, of which apparently, there were many. Chris came into this world as unexpectedly as he departed. Not on his due date he decided to make his entrance on December 25 1968 amid a family gathering. I can see him now lying in the bassinet immediately after delivery. He appeared to be waiving at me as if to say “alright mom, lets start the adventure”
And adventure it was, filled with joy and trepidation. His enormous musical talent baffled me as we were not a musical family. His sardonic humour however came honestly from my dad, Les. As his birthday approaches, now without him, I will reflect through my tears on how much I loved him and what an enormous hole he has left in my heart.
I will try to continue the rest of my life listening to music and seeing the wonder of life in all the small ways as he did.
I hope, my beautiful boy, that you rest peacefully with no more pain or sorrow and only the joy you brought to me and those around you. You will be forever in my heart.
