Obituary of Dusan Novak
Dusan Novak, 76, of London ON, peacefully passed away Jan 11, 2026, with his children by his side after a courageous battle with ALS.
Dusan was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and immigrated to Canada with his mother when he was 8 years old. After graduating from Clarke Road SS, he went on to earn a BSc from UWO. Dusan then went on to have an illustrious career with The Bank of Montreal.
Following his retirement, Dusan spent his winters down south enjoying the sun and sand in a variety of tropical paradises.
Dusan (aka Dad/Papa) loved his family more than anything, and would drop anything at a moment’s notice for his kids or grandkids. He could often be found cheering on the sidelines of one of his grandsons’ basketball/football/soccer games, or watching one of his granddaughter’s dance performances.
Dusan positively touched the lives of all he met, using his quick wit and sense of humour to leave people smiling. His contributions to his community will be missed.
Dusan was predeceased by his mother, Maria. He is survived by his sister, Wanda, his kids - Andrea and Mark (Jessica), and his grandchildren -Maddison, Henrik, Grayson, and Magnus.
No services will be held, and the family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the ALS society of Canada.
