Sending my sincere condolences to Dr. Connor’s family. He was such a compassionate giver of care, and was part of my healing from a car accident in my twenties, and through health maintenance through the birth of two children, and into adulthood. 20+ years later.
I will also remember his kind personality, and his humour, including the time I was convinced I had been chatting with him at a pub on St Patrick’s Day years ago, to find out it was his twin all along!
He will be greatly missed.

Q: How did you meet Dr. Patrick?
A: When Pat studied at the U of S in Saskatoon, he showed up at our door when we were looking for a renter and he was looking for a place. He settled in, unleashed his joyous, goofball humor and there was no looking back. Years later when I attended school in London we picked up like it was yesterday, reminiscing about people, places, and all those ringworm pizzas and Careers games. Knowing Pat seemed to exist outside of time, somewhere impervious to aging and renewing as a sunrise. Safe travels, my friend, in whatever land is now blessed to have you in it.

Pat & Steve are just 2 months younger than me. We first met in September 1973 at the Western Open High School Cross Country race. I can't think of Pat without Steve or Steve without Pat after meeting them both that day. We raced each other many times over the next 5 years. In the years since, I have seen them on and off (often at road races). After 50 plus years, I still couldn't tell them apart. Such great guys. I can't imagine how much Steve (and his siblings) will miss Pat. We all will.

Pat, was my best Chiro School friend. He brought me to his home in London several times for weekends while we were in school. We spent 4 years together in Toronto, and the Unicorn Tavern at Yonge and Eglington was our spot. Pat visited me In Thunder Bay twice and spent time at the family Cabin on Rainy Lake, in Fort Frances, Ont. The picture with the walleye, is on the island/cabin on Rainey Lake. I will miss Pat dearly, and am so sad of his passing, but am fortunate to have spent these times with Pat. Peace in heaven good friend. Dr. Stu Brimmell DC. Thunder Bay, Ontario

Q: What will you miss most about Dr. Patrick?
A: I will miss Pat’s easygoing nature and his smile. I brought Pat a fruit explosion muffin, and a large double cream decaf coffee every month when I came to him for my adjustments. I got him a Christmas gift, usually dachshund related, because he loved wiener dogs. Had one as a child growing up, and I used to bring mine into the office. He had a picture of Sophie in my medical file. I will miss Pat a lot, considered him a friend, rest in peace Pat, and my deepest condolences to his family, especially his twin Steve, whom I know he was particularly close with. ♥️

And he especially loved backed goods and home grown cherry tomatoes. Dr. Pat is greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies. Larry and Isolde Smith and Biszu

Like everyone else, the shock is still there.
So unexpected so not deserved. Connie and I worked for him for 7 years , and I have to say he was the best boss. He would take us to lunch often always a buffet... and he would allow me to use his jeep if I needed it to get somewhere while he went for his run at lunch time. I have seen him at least once a month if not more for the past twenty five years.
He will always be my favorite chiropractor and he will be dearly missed.
My sincere condolences to the family.

It was in the later part of the baseball season as the Blue Jays were making their run for the World Series (one game away). I was checking out at cashier at Metro and I was behind one of the Connor brothers, and of course I had to introduce myself. I said " How are you Mr. Connor, he turned and looked behind him at me, I announced my name. He showed the biggest smile that the brothers were known for. He said:" Jim Wallace, it's been 50 years" and he was quick to mention Steve is here with him. Steve showed up very shortly after we greeted each other, he had the same wide smile. What a pleasure to have reckonised them and share a short time of catch up talk,as we left the store. they told me they were going to be in a marathon that weekend. Steve I am sorry for his passing but so very happy we met for that short meeting. Steve the pitchers nick name is "Ice Trey" ;James Wallace. james007wallace@gmail.com

About a decade ago I was struggling with pain from my wonky back. At over $40 a visit I was getting no relief. A friend suggested Patrick.
On my first visit he eased the pain - for $15!
Sitting in the mismatched chairs of his waiting room/office it was easy to see how he kept the overheads low. But that was Patrick - no need to impress. From his rusty Jeep to his camping fare of chicken wieners he was the real deal, just out there doing it.
You are missed my Friend.

I am in disbelief that our 'Pat' has gone.
Way too young, way too early.
The shock will linger for a long time to come.
My sincere condolences to Steve and all the Connor family-again, too sudden.
It was my privilege to have known Pat since a chance meeting in Boston 2000, where he was on a streak
of 15 or so 'Boston's' and I had just finished my first.
Our marathon connection went via Grandma's,
Richmond, and Huntington, the last two being memorable road trips. He was such a wonderful
road companion with endless stories and anecdotes and constant humour.
Pat was the consumate optimist and was the best example of what humanity should be, kind, caring,
generous with time and endless advice.
I will miss his chortling phone calls ragging me about my advanced age .
My last call was to congratulate him on his 100th marathon, an incredible achievement.
I will dearly miss him.
Rest in peace, Pat.
Lawrence Trickey.

Pat had all the qualities of an exceptional athlete. Setting high standards, high-achieving, disciplined, resilient, dedicated, professional, encouraging and showing great leadership and character. He had fast record times and had completed elite races, such as Boston. It is fitting that our first race together was in 2010 at the Simcoe Shores 225 km Ultra Relay. We were a 7-person team, taking turns running 10 km non-stop until 225 km was completed. He also waited for me at the finish line of another race in Woodstock, when no one else was there to support me.
Nothing about Pat was ordinary, he was always exceptional.
He was also a kind man. Optimistic, funny and entertaining. I doubt that he had ever said a mean thing about anyone.
Although our paths drifted apart a decade ago, I have always considered him one of my closest and most admirable running friends. I wish that I had told him so before it was too late.
He was the perfect example of David Goggins striving to be “uncommon amongst the uncommon” (Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds, 2018). In a field of elite runners and high-achievers, Pat always stood out as being one of the very best.
I will continue to run and will bring the memory of him as motivation when I am too tired to go on. I will try to be like Pat and achieve great things in his honour.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Pat’s passing. Pat was such a positive, energetic, and kind person. I have known Pat & Steve for nearly 30 years, way back when they were sharing a membership to Campus Recreation because none of us could tell them apart! I have fun memories of running the 24-hour relay with Pat & Steve years and years ago and always enjoyed bumping into them at local races, on campus or during my lunch time walks or runs. Pat will be missed. My deepest condolences to the Connor family, and especially Steve.

I had the pleasure of first meeting Pat in the 1990’s when he was starting his Chiropractic practice. This continued to be the case until about the time of 2011 or so, when we also regularly bumped into each other downtown at St. Pete’s on Sunday nights. We soon concluded that our conversations should continue afterwards, and so we did, sharing spirited discussions on a variety of topics over a beverage or three.
Some of the more memorable ones included our sharing fond memories of growing up on Gunn St., and Sterling St. These locations served for future gatherings as well, whether around the fire pit, rec room, or even on the front porch on Gunn St. over a cup of tea with Mrs. Connor at 98 years young.
Pat and I also had a special connection to the city of Saskatoon. We both lived there in the mid-1980’s, although we did not know each other at the time. While he was studying at the U of S (go Huskies), I was working at FM 103, and as it turned out, we lived about four blocks apart. We only discovered all of this years later when we were both again living in London. This story always resulted in shared laughs, particularly if it involved certain antics at the “Artful Dodger”.
One thing that will always stand out to me about Pat is his sense of kindness. This was especially so when I recall the many times that I was invited by him, to join Steve, and Mary and her family, for holiday meals and gatherings. This, and similar examples of such decency, will not be forgotten.
I didn’t think that the last time that Pat and I talked shortly before he left us would be the final time. You will be missed my friend, but I feel that your presence will always be with us.
Rest in peace Pat.
My sincerest condolences go out to the Connor family.

My very deepest condolences to Pat's family and close friends.Pat was a great person, full of spirit, life, and fun, and driven to be of use to society. It was always clear how much his family meant to him, and I cannot imagine how much you will miss him.
Pat and I became friends while he was at university in Saskatoon, and though we have only met up a couple of times since then (and I got to meet Steve once, too), a mutual friend has always kept us updated on each other.
We both travelled to Halifax in 2004 for our mutual friend's wedding, and that was a very fun weekend. The morning of the wedding, he was supposed to meet a couple of us early, so that we could drive the scenic route to the facility. He was late, and he looked kind of red-faced and sweaty in his suit when he knocked on our hotel room door. It turned out that he'd gone for a run that morning, and after going about 8 km had stumbled into an organized 10 km race. So, he registered, ran it, finished top 20 (out of hundreds), then ran back the 8 km to the hotel to clean up for the wedding! We had to drive past the race start line to drop off his registration fee on the way to the wedding.
With deep sympathy,
Patty Simpson
