It feels like a lifetime ago that we were neighbours. My memories of you and Kim are precious and held in my heart always. The kindness, the love, the laughter you both shared, meant the world to me. Kim was so very special, one of the good ones, someone with such a pure heart, so giving and just a lovely all around person. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, and for Greg and Eric and those beautiful grandchildren that I know were loved deeply. There is just never enough time. I know you all have the love and support of so many. I have been blessed to have had Kim in my life for the time I did and she will remain in my heart always.

Kim was our daughter’s very first home babysitter and became such a big part of her upbringing. She helped teach her manners, encouraged good eating habits, and brought so much fun and love.
We will always be grateful for the care and kindness she gave.
Our deepest condolences to Kim’s family and loved ones.

We just wanted to share our sadness about Kim's passing. As the newest (grandfathered) members of Muppetville, we'll always treasure Doug and Kim's smiling faces and smarty pants comments - from their perch across the street.
Rest In Peace, Kim. Doug and family, we're thinking about you at this sad time. Take care.

Our most heartfelt condolences to Doug, Greg, Eric and families on the huge loss of their dear loving wife, mother, grandmother. As long time cottage neighbours and friends our time at the cottage will never be the same without Kim’s huge smile, infectious laughter, quick wit, friendliness and warm caring nature. We will miss the walks, bike rides, fun and hilarious outdoor lawn games, drone and people watching, garage saling, potlucks that Kim organized, and most of all our talks, storytelling and laughs while visiting on someone’s deck or around the campfire. Since Kim and Doug were always sitting on their front deck, many people in Kettle Point know them as well. Passerbys would honk, wave or stop for a chat and there was always a chair ready for anyone to join them on their deck.
Kim will be dearly missed by many and especially Muppetville, but she will always be with us in spirit.
❤️ John & Wendy

Where do we begin? From the moment that be moved into the cottage across the street from Kim and Doug, we became fast friends! From the countless hours on your deck, to weekly Saturday nights (if not more) around the fire pit, to our special winter weekend game days where we’d share stories and be howling with laughter for starters! Our daily bike rides down the beach and along our route, occasionally on the trails where Kim would show off her off-roading skills while witnessing spectacular over-the-handlebar crashes with orange sneakers flying through the air, there was never a dull moment! There were the rousing games of Kubb on hot summer days or cool fall evenings, the well orchestrated pot-lucks and the neighbourhood shenanigans that we’d all share in together, to round things off. There was never a weekend that didn’t end with us backing out of our driveway and saying goodbye with a honk of the horn, where we’d immediately start counting the hours until Friday afternoon when we’d hurry back to do it all over again and pulling in with the expectation that Waldorf and Statler would be sitting on your deck as if to greet us back! You and Doug will always be the Waldorf and Statler of Muppetville, and we’re all just blessed to live here along side of you.
Let’s not forget that you have proven yourself to be a world class dog-sitter, and have spoiled our little Chesley rotten! She has been one lucky dachshund to have had you to protect and care for her while we’ve been away. We couldn’t thank you enough.
Somehow it feels that although things will never be the same, we know that you’ll be here laughing away and living through all of us while invisibly filling your rightful spot in your seat around that fire-pit, like nothings changed. Your name will be a part of every conversation and your memories will be shared for years to come.
We love you and already miss you something fierce, Kimmie! We’ll see you again around the corner and will laugh along with you always!
Kim and Geoff

As part of Muppetville across the street from Kim and Doug, we always received a warming wave upon our arrival and departure from Kim and Doug, perched on their deck from morning until night, warm days to cold days, even rain! When my loving muppet passed in 2023, I left Muppetville the following summer. I miss the gang! But life moves on. My sincere condolences to Doug and his family. Words can’t describe what you are feeling right now except “it’s the shits!” Excuse my french but we’ve all heard worse sitting around the campfires over the years. Kim’s infectious giggle will be missed by all. Take care Doug.
