Obituary of Anita Louise Ward
It is with broken hearts that the family of Anita Ward announces her peaceful passing on March 20, 2026, at the age of 80.
Loved mother of Michael(Tammy), Ian (Laurie), and Greg. Cherished grandmother of Bryan (Marly), Stephanie, Nicole, Hudson, Harper, Kennedy, Landon, and Jacob. Proud great-grandmother of Vincent and Lillian.
Anita was known for her kindness, contagious laughter, and radiant smile. She embraced life fully, welcomed everyone with open arms and a bottle of wine, and was always the life of the party — the first to arrive and the last to leave. Her day didn’t truly begin until her hair was curled and her makeup was done. She had a gift for making everyone feel like the most important person in the room with her warm “heelllooo,” her big hugs, and her ability to listen with genuine care.
She cherished every moment with family and friends and will be deeply missed. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family Karen (Jade and Anya), Barb (John), Theresa (Scott), Christina (Daniel) and their families, and by the many friends that she met, loved, and shared a laugh or two with.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to her dear friend Keltie for her steadfast support, and to the wonderful staff at AgeCare who cared for her with such kindness and compassion in her final year.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
