I will remember my sister for the moments that we shared. I use to love walking over to her house during my lunch in high school to spend time with her and Robert shortly after his birth. It was a very exciting time for her and everyone because he was the first child born to one of us, and we couldn't get enough of this cute little boy. She was so proud. I still remember the wall in her living room as a dedicated shrine to Robert with pictures covering every space of that wall. Well, maybe not every space. There may have been a wall dedicated to Elvis as well. Many years later, I remember both Veronika and Robert travelling quite a distance to come to the hospital to see me prior to my surgery. It meant so much to have that support.
Robert, nothing I can possibly say will take away the pain you're feeling, but I hope you know that you have many people who care about you and who are feeling your sadness.
