Obituary of Veronika Schmocker

Veronika Schmocker (born Veronika Wenz on October 17, 1953) passed away April-29-2026 at Victoria Hospital at the age of 72 years old at 2:24pm (in her 73^rd year of life) due to her heart failure and complications of liver failure and an ulcer and kidney failure. 

Born in Ulm, Germany then moving to Canada as a child with her family. Veronika married my father James Arnold Schmocker (who passed away in 2019 at the age of 64) and had a only child  which they named Robert  Henry Schmocker. Their son was the most important thing in their lives and loved and cared and did everything for him including many year end summer trips and a special mom and son vacation to the Bahamas. While our family wasn’t always photo people our best time enjoyed was always together with one another and as a family.

Mom (Veronika) suffered lots through congestive heart failure and liver failure and complications but was always strong and a great mother a son could ever have or wish for.  Surviving  family include: Heinrich Wenz (father), Irene Weiler (sister), Margaret Hole (sister), Willy Wenz (brother).  Also surviving upon Veronika Schmocker passing is Theresa Bouanani (childhood and best friend from Quebec).  Lastly surviving is her son Robert Henry Schmocker.

At this time there will be no gathering but may have a celebration of life in future but undecided right now.

I hope you are in a better place now in heaven  and not suffering and can see and hear me when I miss or think of you. Mom (Veronika) you will always be with me always and forever. I love you  mom and will never forget all the great times spent together.....Love you always and forever
