Nicolas was a one of a “kind” kind of guy, he just lit up the room when he was in it. He just had a beautiful personality that made you feel like you had been his friend forever. I had the pleasure of meeting him through my son and was honoured to have him as our chef for my mother’s 70th birthday. Man, he could cook!
My heart breaks for Nick and his family at this extremely sad time. He will be fondly remembered by us, Wendy, Cam and Patrick Quirk

Wendy, Gwen and I want to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your son Nick. It sounds like he was a caring and compassionate young man. Losing a child is the hardest thing any parent can go through. As you know, we also lost our daughter so we know the grief you are feeling. Please know we are thinking of you and Dan, his father Mike and all of Nick’s siblings. Take care.

My favourite memory of Nick was when we were hanging out with a few other friends. One of them radomly asks everyone what their favourite fruit was. It was my turn to answer and I started to giggle cuz the absolute only thing I could think of was NICK. The look on his face said it all. So before he could say anything I replied to him….. yes I did just go there….yes, I really said that and finally….I looooove you and bounced away just giggling. When he caught up with me, he gave me a huge hug and said “I love you too kimi.” I’m going to miss saying NICK in my own special way and the way you’d say KIM. That was our “thing” You were one of my best friends and I’ll never forget you or the things you taught me.

I have so many fond memories of Nick. He spent a lot of time at my house with my daughter Alyssa. Nick was always funny, kind, sincere, polite and just all around a real person. There was nothing phony about him. Alyssa's little sister Justyne adored Nick. She would always get him to make his famous French toast for her. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that you are no longer on this Earthly Plain. The last time I saw you, you had just gotten back from B.C. I believe it was. You were cooking at a Chalet out there. You were always so full of Life...and maybe a little mischief lol...but what teenager wasn't!
Sending my sincerest condolences to your family.
Til we meet again Nickalicious as I used to call you! Fly high angel! Now you can do wonders from above for all those you advocated for xoxoxo

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Nicholas. We met Nicholas and his family when we moved next door to them in Kitchener almost 30 years ago. We have many fond memories of Nicholas and of his brothers, he certainly brightened up a room. Although we haven’t been in touch with Nick in quite a few years he holds a special place in our hearts and we are saddened by his passing. Keeping all of the family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. You will be missed by all and in your community. I hope someone continues your fight for the rights of the ones in need. Rest easy Nicholas.
