Obituary of Thomas Mckellar Waller

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Suddenly and far too soon, Thomas (Tom) Mckellar Waller, aged 69, passed away on September 27th, 2026 in London, Ontario. Son of Joseph and Charlotte Waller, father to Joseph and Maxwell, brother of Leslie (Jim), Rob (Cindy) and Kim (Karen), Uncle to Catie, Jenny, Matthew, Sarah and Rowan, Great-Uncle to Elaine and friend to so many; Tom will be remembered for his generosity, his kindness, his skills and willingness to share them, his quick wit and legendary shenanigans.

Tom grew up in Etobicoke and Mississauga, Ontario but in the late 1970's moved to Edmonton, Alberta. He loved to work with his hands and spent most of his working life in construction. He was respected by the people he worked with and the crews he managed. In 2022 he moved back to Ontario, motivated in part to be closer to his Mom whom he saw whenever he could. He switched careers to sales and put his considerable people skills to good use.

Tom had two great loves in his life; Marilyn, the mother of his two sons and Loretta. He had a wide circle of friends from all places and was never happier than when enjoying a laugh, a drink or cooking a fabulous meal.

Friends talk of his great smile, sense of humor and zest for life. He had a catalogue of stories from true life adventures – many with his brother Rob and cousins, Roddy and Ian.

His passing is a reminder to live life with love, humor and a generous spirit.

There will be a graveside service at the Eddie Cemetery, 4490 Glendon Dr., Glencoe on  October 7th, 2026 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception from 12-2 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 186 Main St., Glencoe.  For additional information please reach out to family.

Donations in Tom's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Condolences can be left at funeraloptions.ca
