Obituary of Ed Horner

Edwin “Ed” Maurice Horner of Tara, Ontario passed away peacefully at home on October 3rd, 2023 at the age of 81.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lenore (nee Horsley), and their four children; Nancy (Richard) Mino, Steven (Lenore) Horner, Wendi (Derek) Cochrane, and Philip (Krista) Horner. He was the proud grandfather of Eric (Lauren), Ashley (Jacob), Stephanie (Tyler), Tyler (Jill), Kate (Ben), Steven,  Grace (Andrew), Jake, Riley and the late Lauren. Ed was the Great-Grandpa of Clara, Samuel, Eleanor, and Brenna. Ed is survived by his sister Rilla (Mike) Adeney and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents Ada and Ernest and his siblings Lorna, Irene, Neil, Harvey, Shirley, Dora, and Heather. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Keith Nelson and his sister-in-law Betty Horner.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Tara. Everyone is welcome to join us for a Come & Go Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at the Tara Legion – 86 River Street, Tara, ON. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a cause of your choice. Online condolences may be left at www.funeraloptions.ca
