Obituary of Janice Christabel Helen Carrier

Please share a memory of Janice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our cherished mother, Janice Christabel Helen Carrier (nee Diver), of London, Ontario who passed away with her family by her side on December 18, 2023 at London Health Sciences Centre at the age of 88. Janice was born on February 23, 1935 in Simcoe, Ontario to Marjorie and Edward Diver. She studied nursing at Toronto Western Hospital, graduating as an RN in 1957. Janice was passionate about nursing and worked in every setting imaginable - from the OR to home care and everywhere in between touching countless lives throughout her career.

When Janice was just 3 years old she met Alexander Cyril Edgar Carrier (“Ed”). They married in 1957 and shared a wonderful marriage full of unwavering love, laughter, friendship and travel for more than 66 years. Neither could bear to be apart even in death and Ed passed away only 5 days after Janice. Janice was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who had the privilege to know her. She was a true leader whether it was at home, work, within her church, or volunteering in the community. Janice loved the Lord and her family unconditionally. She enjoyed visiting with friends and traveling whenever an opportunity arose. Janice had a sneaky sense of humour and quick wit about her.

Janice will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children Michelle, David (Dianne), Noelle (Trevor) and her many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A joint celebration of Janice and Ed’s lives will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Renal Patient Assistance Fund (via the LHSC Foundation), the Humane Society of London and Middlesex or the Care & Share Food Assistance Program at Chalmers Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be left at www.funeraloptions.ca
