Obituary of Jill Marie Cox

After a long battle with cancer, Jill Marie Cox passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the age of 71. Jill leaves behind her loving husband, Jack Cox, who always knew how to make her laugh. She was the proud mother of David Cox, who could never hide anything from her, and his wife Christine, who made sure David didn’t mess things up. Her grandson Sawyer, who could do no wrong in her eyes, will miss her dearly. Her two loving brothers, Terry and Ron, will miss her constant reminders to call more often. She is also survived by her older sister Linda. Jill leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews who always knew where to get the best cookies. Jill will be missed by so many loving friends and family members, especially those who appreciated her unique ability to laugh at life’s absurdities.

She had a special love for Paudash Lake, where she spent countless summers enjoying boat rides and battling mosquitoes and blackflies. She was the best grandma, known for her bottomless cookie jar and hugs that could fix anything. Jill loved flowers, filling her home and garden with color. She was also a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan, never missing a game and always believing they could win the Stanley Cup. Her joyful spirit, infectious laugh, and warm heart will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
