Laura Lee Tunks
It is with broken hearts that we must annouce the passing of our mother and wife Laura Lee Tunks of London, ON. Born in Windsor, ON March 13th 1957 and passed away peacefully early morning on August 22nd 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospice. Survived by her husband Brad and her beloved twins Ashley and Jeremy. Leaving her sister and brothers, Debi, Eric, Larry and Collin. Also leaving behind many nieces, nephews and her beautiful dog Knight whom never left her side.
Laura was a beautiful person inside and out, who enjoyed helping others and finally got the job she wanted, working as an Assignment Coordinator at Paramed here in London, ON last year before having to leave when finding out earlier this year that she was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer that had very unfortunately metastasized to the brain. Laura had been a cancer survivor for many years after her first diagnosis in 2005 of breast cancer. She fought hard and strong in the end, until the cancer unfortunatly took over.
Despite Laura's struggle with cancer that begun in 2005, it certainly did not deteriorate who she was as a person, even to the end. Laura was caring, loving, intelligent, strong, witty and had an amazing sense of humour that will truly be missed.
Laura will be joining her predeceased parents, Helen and MacKenzie Widdifield, whom she truly loved and adored.
Until we meet again, we will hold on and cherish the memories we have of you. You will stay with us in our hearts and minds forever.
We love you Mom, Forever and Always xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

A big thank you to staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospice for their endless care and compassion they showed my mom and family in her last week with us.
Another big thank you to Carolyn Nixon, Funeral Director who has been extremely understanding and caring through this whole process, you are an incredible person and from my family to you, we are truly grateful for everything you do.
Lastly would like to thank a very special nurse Stella, who works with VON. I cannot thank you enough for your efforts, compassion and witty sense of humour (just like my mom) through all the months you cared for my mother. Mom always liked you best <3
This journey has not been easy at all, but the care, compassion and love you have showed us will never be forgotten.
Thank you for everything
Tunks Family
