Dear Lynda and your entire family,
I am very saddened by the loss of Mike. I marvel at the courage, compassion and caring that he showed for those around him. In recent years I had the immense pleasure of working with Mike training people across the Province. I derived much more pleasure from the opportunity to become his friend. He was gifted and genuine in what he did, however, it was the time together away from our task that I enjoyed the most. We had great discussions and also much laughter, which I will cherish the most!
My Deepest Condolences,
Scott Giovannetti

To ALL of the family.
I am so sorry to see of Michael's passing and wish to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you.
Michael and I were in the same class at Northern Collegiate in Sarnia for 5 years. They put all of the 'business' and 'tech' 5-year students in one class and we were blessed to have all of our classes together. What a ham he was! Always a smile, jokes and pranks and just a great guy. My memories of him will live on, even though I haven't seen him in many years.
RIP Michael,
Georgia Gander

What a shock to hear about Michael's passing. He was a wonderful guy who seemed to care about what was going on in your life. We talked about a year ago on an idea of doing a play on the life of Bobby Cortola. He said..that's right up Linda's line of writing...I enjoyed his talent on radio as I would catch him on CFPL..CKJD. Your talent will be greatly missed..but you left a lot of memories and laughter with your personality and plays. RIPMike.t5Ny9

I was extremely lucky to work with Mike in our early years in radio at CKJD. Mike was kind, funny and a true gentleman. Though that smooth, deep voice has been silenced he will live on in the memories of those lucky enough to cross his path in life.
My deepest sympathies.

Lynda & Family:
Shocked and saddened to hear of Michael's untimely passing. While never having met him in person, my theatre company in Moncton, N.B. produced his wonderful comedy, BUYING THE MOOSE a few years back which resulted in a series of e-mails and eventually becoming facebook buddies. Unfortunately I was unaware of his failing health and regret not sending him any acknowledgement of his illness. He was indeed a fine playwright and from what I read in his obituary, an outstanding individual who will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. RIP, sir.

This is the most beautiful tribute I've ever read. And it sums up Mike perfectly. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with him when I fist got into radio (CKJD, Sarnia) and experienced first-hand his wit, humor and joy. He was fun-loving, generous, kind and a true gentlemen. I have great memories of those years at CKJD - my first job and one that spoiled me for life. No other has come close to the laughter and love I shared with 'the gang' that was there at that time. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Dear Lynda- I ran the pool league in which Mike and The Band played for many years, going back to the Press Club. I would see you at the final tournaments in April, cheering the team on. I enjoyed Mike’s wry humor and will miss him. My sincere condolences to you and family on the loss of a really nice, fun guy.
