Our sincere condolences to you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you strength for the day and peace for the night. I have lovely and fun memories of your mother when you lived down the road from us. Love Donna (Milburn) and Dave Oates
We always looked forward to welcoming Gwen into our school to assist with assemblies and musical productions. She brought her talent and her kind spirit.
When I walked into the retirement home to visit my dad, I would often be greeted with beautiful music coming from the piano. I didn’t need to look, I knew it was Gwen and it made me smile. She clearly led a long and fruitful life.
My sincere condolences to her family.

I first met "Mrs. Howlett" at the Royal Bank where I worked back in the 80's. She was with the Lung Assoc. at the time. She quickly became one of my favourites and later on we were on the Clean Up Committee in Brantford together. I didn't realize she was so accomplished in music but I certainly respected her in every other way. She had a gentle kindness about her. She was smart, active and gracious - as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. It was Gwen who became my personal benchmark for whom I aspired to be. I wish I had told her.
My sincere condolences to her family. Your dear mother and grandmother has left you with a legacy you can be very proud of. I love that one of her great grand babies is named Gwen. She has big hiking boots to fill.
May it bring you comfort to know she lived and loved well and truly made a difference to all of us who had the honour of knowing her.
She was simply lovely.
With abiding love and deep respect,
