Though our friendship was brief, I have always remembered Fred as my earliest close friend. We met across the school yard at Victoria a few years before my family moved on October 31, 1961 from 14 Byron Ave. We lost contact after trick or treating together that night but I often thought of Fred and the fun we had. Sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to all.

My condolences to the Wands family. I recall the conversations that I would have with Fred, about Sauble Beach when I was working at 3M.

Dear Fred / WW / My Brother
When you passed all I could think about was the incredible memories we had growing up together in the same neighbourhood in south London and Sauble Beach from young teens to adults.
Thinking about you is like flipping through a full rolodex of pictures, video, music we listened to and all the friends we hung out with. We just never stood still.
WW you are the first to go from the original four made up of The Kid, Moriah and Blue jay. You will always be with us in spirit. I’m going to save my stories for your celebration of life, there are so many.
When they made you brother they broke the mold.
Jaye
