Dear Rose, Greg, Brad and Andrew,
My deepest sympathy to all of you during this time.
I can't begin to tell you all the things Malcolm would do for his nephews and nieces; taking us to the CNE midway every year, forcing us including myself onto the roller coasters, laughing while scared out of my wits while the coaster descended downward. I have to laugh about those times which I will never forgot. I recall as a kid, sitting on the front lawn of my aunt and uncles home in Pickering, we could hear an oncoming train approaching off in the distance, there was Malcolm blowing the horn waiving at us from the conductors compartment, heading westbound to Union Station. Memories which I and all cousins will never forget. I'm sure he's driving or riding the train onto the next journey.
May he rest in peace till we meet again.

We loved Mac and will always remember him calling us "the savages" because we are from the United States. At the end he showed his fighting spirit and we're sure the children of his blood also possess this inner quality to fight and succeed. No words can express how we felt about Mac.God Bless our friend and his family and all those who spent time with him to help him when he was in need....

My earliest memories of Malcolm are from high school gym class. He was a fun-loving guy and didn’t have an enemy in the world . . . except maybe the gym teacher. You see, during one class we were playing lacrosse out in the football field and Malcolm called out to his teammates, “get the jackass in the blue track pants.” He was talking about Errol Caetano but unfortunately for him, Mr. Riley was also wearing blue. OOPS!! “5 laps, Thompson.” He stuttered and stammered, and then with a big smile, off he went to do the laps. This was indicative of Malcolm, nothing bothered him and he was always smiling.
My condolences to his family, he was a great guy.

First knew Mac from our junior high school days.
So glad he got to have a career he loved. His strength and determination to survive and live his life to the fullest is a great testament to his love of life and his family.
He was blessed to have a close family who loved and cared for him.
Although he will be missed I hope the memories made bring the family comfort and joy.
Condolences from Dave and Anne Drysdale
