Obituary for William James Hutton, August 6, 1949-May 30, 2024

 

Bill passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario after an illness with cancer. Bill was lovingly raised in Wingham and Kincardine, Ontario by Lloyd Hutton and Isabel Leitch Hutton. He was a happy and sociable child. Bill had a lifelong love of music and in high school he played bass guitar for the rock band “The Last Remains”. Bill studied graphic arts at Fanshawe College and worked most of his adult life in this field. He owned a printing business with John Garton in London until his death and enjoyed his service to longtime customers.  Bill has owned and managed the Hutton Apartments in Kincardine for several years.

In 1972 Bill married Brenda Humphrey from Ripley, Ontario. They lovingly raised Brooke and Benjamin Hutton. Bill was very skilled at sports. He played and coached hockey and had the best stats in a recreational baseball team. His sport of choice in later years was golf; he enjoyed many games, tournaments and trips. Bill had many longtime friendships. He had a ready smile and would tell animated tales.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and sister Mary Hutton Bowles. He is survived by Brenda Hutton, Brooke and Benjamin Hutton, their partners Jeff Bear and Cassidy O’Connor, five grandchildren, and Cheryl and Chandra. A Celebration of Life will be held July 7, 1-4 pm at River Valley Golf Course, St Mary’s Ontario.
