Obituary of Johan Gerard Van Rossum

Van Rossum: John Peacefully, At London Health Science Center following a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Surrounded by his family and dearest friend, John Gerard Van Rossum, “Captain John” in his 77th year. Survived by his loving wife Jeanne Van Rossum, Daughter Kristen of Oakville and Son Jay and his wife Sherry of Picton as well as his prized Grandchildren Alyssa, Hailey,Julia, Megan, and Jordan. Loved brother of Nettie Van den Dool of Burlington, Henny Scheltema (Kees) of Stratford, Hanna Poort (Peter), of Ingersol, Janna Hannenburg (Les), of Woodstock, Janice Elzinga (Ben) of Hamilton, Greta Dykstra (Dalton) of Bowmanville and Jim (Ruth) of Cobourg. He will be missed by his Best Buddy Gord Newton and his long time friend Beverley Fisher of London. Family and Friends are invited to attend A Celebration of John’s life on Friday April 22, 2016, 2PM at St Anne’s Anglican Church 1344 Commissioners Rd W, London, ON. Reverend Rita Harrison will be officiating. Reception will be held following the service in the Parish Hall Family Interment at Woodland Cemetery at 3:30.
