I met the wonderful Jill when she was only 20, dating my older cousin Jack. As she was almost ten years older than me, I thought she was so mature! Funny, thinking back on that now. She was one of the three kindest women I've ever met - another of the three was Jack's mum, my Aunt Jenny. Just good, kind, forgiving, intuitive people - "pure of heart" as another poster, Denise Clark, so perceptively wrote. My cousin has been a lucky man, having such women in his life, for however long.

And did she have a way with babies! She loved them, and they instinctively seemed to trust her. She lulled mine to sleep in a way few others could. I know she adored her grandson, Sawyer, and loved sharing stories about him when we spoke or texted.

Rest in peace, my lovely Jill. Yours was a life well lived.
