Boyce, Karen October 27, 1946 - June 29, 2024.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Karen Boyce (Smith). Predeceased by her mother Mildred Smith (1993) and the father of her children, Harry Patterson (2017). Karen is survived by her children, Harry Patterson, Jamie Patterson, Karen Patterson, Barbara Maitre and Sonya Thompson, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters Rena Boufford (late Al), Leona Levesque and Anna McDonald (late Micheal) and many nieces and nephews.

After 20 years of service, Karen retired from the NDP: MPP and MP constituency office where she supported the Windsor Essex County Community under Wayne Lessard where she focused on Worker's Compensation and worked extensively in pioneering the Advocacy Group for People Without a Union and Brian Masse where her main focus was immigration work where she dedicated her self in reuniting families. Upon retiring she was honoured with the "Canada 150 Medal / Queens Diamond Jubilee" in recognition of all the people she assisted in her 20 years of service.

The family would like to thank PSW, Selina, from Paramed for the care and support she provided.
