Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Layzell

LAYZELL, Margaret Elizabeth Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at age 81, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with ALS. Margaret, beloved wife of Kenneth Layzell, for 62 years. Cherished mother of Kelly (Shane) Peters of London, and Marcy Penny of Orillia. Much loved grandmother of Steven and Brandon Peters, and Matthew Penny. Dear sister of John (Sandy) Gordaneer of Oakville. Predeceased by her brothers Harry (Marjorie) Gordaneer of Scarborough and James (Miria) Gordaneer of Victoria, B.C. Margaret will be missed by her life-long best friend, Helen Herrington (late James) of Barrie, and her special close cousin, Bernice Simmons (late William) of Innisfil. As per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery, London. A heartfelt thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they provided.
