Obituary of Joan Margaret Nicol

Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
NICOL: Joan On April 18, with family near, Joan Margaret Nicol (nee Feick) passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, Ontario after a relatively short and difficult battle with an aggressive cancer. She is survived and greatly missed by her daughter Lori (Stephen) Hauri, son Robert (Shannon) Nicol, son David Nicol and grandson Daniel Hauri. Predeceased by husband William Nicol (1992), and sisters Betty (Jack) Quipp and Muriel (James) Gibb. Also by parents George and Margaret Feick. Joan was an amazing woman and mother who always put her children first. She took great pleasure from the company of her friends and devoted most of her recent years to enjoying life, both in London and during her extensive travels to sunny locations. Our sincerest gratitude to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the London Regional Cancer Centre. A very special thank-you to Dr Katriona Andrews working with Dr Mark Vincent who always went above and beyond showing her utmost patience and kindness. We would also like to thank the palliative team at Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Life “drop-in” Barbecue will be held on Saturday June 11 at Joan’s home at 39 Trillium Cr, London Ontario. Please drop in and share a quick bite, drink and a memory between 1 pm and 4 pm. Best wishes only. RSVP not necessary but appreciated at lorinicol67@gmail.com As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
