My sincerest condolences to Bev and the family through this tough time.
Working with Pete was always a pleasure. He was kind, caring, and always took the time to listen, guide and support me when I was just starting out. Most of all, he made working at London Life fun. I won’t forget comical dress-up days, the hilarious stories he told and his rubber cement booger he kept for fake sneezes. Pete was one of a kind.
Rest peacefully, Pete.

I worked with Pete at London Life, and he was the life of the office, in a way that's not often meant: he brought life to the office, and made it a kinder, gentler... and yes, happier place.
I probably brought Pete more work-related grief than joy ;-) but I have truly loved few people I have worked with, and I loved Pete.
Hey Pete? You can take the rest of the day off.

Dear Bev & family,
So sorry to read of Peter's passing. You both were such a pleasant pair to interact with walking our dogs. Pete's artwork was exceptional also.
Sincerely,
Brenda Swindell

To Bev and family,
Our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of Pete. We will cherish our wonderful memories as your Lambeth neighbours for over 24 years. Dan, the boys and I always felt like we were part of your family, playing with the dogs and chatting over the fence. We loved Pete's jokes and can still hear his laugh. Since we moved, we miss your smiles, kind hearts and that awesome weekend jazz music by the pool. You both top the list for us.
Love you dearly. Hugs and prayers.
Dan, Carole, Nathan, Stephen, Michael and families. (The Adam clan)

I will miss my uncle Peter so dam much and there was never enough time to spend with he and and Aunt Bev unfortunately.as life gets in the way too much .
Although I was too young to remember being the flower girl at their wedding 65 ish years ago I am told I accidentally locked myself in their bathroom before the wedding and I think someone had to climb through a window the story goes. Spending time with Uncle Peter and Aunt Bev was so much fun listening to their stories and Peter’s infectious laugh. The stories of the antics he and his two brothers got into were the best. How did my grandparents survive bringing up their three sons is
beyond me. I was so lucky to be able to get in a good visit alone with Uncle Peter this spring at their house before moving into the Glendale residences . Uncle Peter gave me one of his gorgeous paintings of the Monterey CA coastline which we both l loved visiting on our vacations. I will look at that painting every day on my wall and smile while thinking of Peter and his crazy laugh and
funny old stories of him and my Dad and Uncle Bobby .
I hope the three of them are sharing a Labatts Blue and talking about the rest of us and catching up.

So sorry Lisa and Sara for your loss of your one-of-a-kind amazing Dad. Thank you for ending his obituary with "take the rest of the day off"! It made tears pop out of my eyes! It felt like Pete was in the room. Thank you for that.
Pete changed my life. He hired me to work for him at London Life, right out of art college. I will be forever grateful for his mentorship and wisdom (and humour) that has guided me since.
Pete's stories, jokes, pranks, and one-liners are legendary. Thank you for everything, Pete. You'll be remembered forever.
I hope everybody in Heaven is ready to start laughing nonstop!

I was extremely fortunate to take part in Pete’s last 8 years of Shenanigans at London Life! He was the best role model I ever had in terms of having fun, enjoying your work, be creative and respectful and most importantly laugh your ass off!
After he retired I would regularly bump into Pete at Home Depot because he was on yet another home improvement project. Pete was the life of the party at my retirement party a few years ago, we had a blast!!!!
Poor Pete, in his last two years at London Life Pete was my boss….he would tell me, please don’t do anything stupid that I get fired, I want to retire with my pension….lol! A few times, there were there some close calls! lol!
In the past year, we spoke a few times. I knew his health wasn’t great, but that didn’t stop him from laughing his ass off recounting some funny things that had happened at the Life! I’ll miss you buddy!
