Obituary of Robert William James Verspagen

Verspagen, Robert William James – February 23^rd, 1960 – October 7^th, 2024.

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert William James Verspagen announces his sudden passing on Monday, October 7^th, 2024, in London, ON at the age of 64 years.

Robert was born in Guelph, ON and lived in several communities around southern Ontario. Robert graduated from Lambton College as a licenced Industrial Machinist. Robert was very handy around the house, often taking on DIY projects in the home, maintaining his own vehicles and always eager to help others. Robert enjoyed visiting thrift stores in any community he visited, and finding deals on nostalgic memorabilia such as old books, toys, and rare coins. Robert’s diverse range of interests and passions included a fondness for history, stock car racing, bike riding and a healthy curiosity for how things work.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his long-time partner, Giselle Larocque, his children, Natacia and Joshua, stepchildren Chad and Ashley, Mother Iris Manion, and Father Jack Verspagen (Dawn). Grandfather to Brooklyn, Logan, Roman, Hayden, Lucas, Jace, Sophia and Carter.  Brother to Theresa and Anne (Fred) and Jay. Brother-in-law to Gill, Marg and Marielle. Uncle Bob to Heather and Lisa.

Those who wish to gather in memory of Robert are welcome to attend a Memorial for Bob, to be held on Friday November 8^th from 1pm to 4pm at the Berkshire Club at 500 Berkshire Drive in London, ON.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in Robert’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
