Jack Plant, in his 65th year, passed away peacefully in his sleep at University Hospital, London, On. on August 9th 2016. Most dearly loved husband and best friend of Patti. Beloved father of Stephen (Harpreet) and Laura. Papa to Sehij Sehmby and Lexi Turner. Cherished brother of Geraldine Preston and Robert Plant. Jack was pre-deceased by his parents Dorothy and Jack Plant and his stepfather John Nother. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives, especially those in Sarnia, Jean and Art George, Sandra and Jack Shaw and Liz and Bill Robertson. Jack was a member of the London Fire Department for 28 years, and also served for a while as leader of the Freedom Party of Ontario. He loved his music, especially the Beatles, and was an accomplished drummer and guitarist. He loved fishing, spontaneous adventures and was never one to pass up the opportunity for a great discussion. His wealth of knowledge never wavered. A celebration of Jacks life will be held Saturday, August 20th from 1-4 pm at St. Paul's Cathedral 472 Richmond Street in London. All are welcome to come by and share memories of this treasured man, whose sharp wit and humour kept us laughing until the end. Rest in Peace, our hero, your long battle is over. Donations may be made in Jacks name to the Palliative care unit at University hospital in London, On.
