In 1967, at the age of 17, he became employed at Russel Metals (London Steel Industries) where he remained for 44 years. Charles is survived by his loving wife Janet of 44 years. He was a very proud and loving father of David Fenech (Patti), and Jennifer Fenech (Guy Desbiens). Fondly remembered by so many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and good friends. Many thanks go out to all the Doctors & Nurses at the Victoria Hospital Cancer Clinic and Nursing Staff on the 7th floor for Charles's care. Your care and compassion made this difficult time just a little more bearable for both Charles and our family. A special thank you to: Christine, Alex, Karen, Megan, Kelly, Janice, Jen, and Allyse who were involved in Charles’s care. We are grateful for Dr. D. Farquhar, who treated Charles for over 14 years with care and compassion. Charlie will leave behind his legacy through all of the beautiful metal work and wood work that he created and sold or gifted to others as well as the memories we all have of his loyal and faithful spirit with his family and friends, his love of Elvis, his secret stash of Oh Henry Bars, his enjoyment he got from watching and feeding the birds and the squirrels in his back yard, his love of the great outdoors, collection of model cars, baking delicious loaves of banana bread for those he loved as well as the many memories of all of the unconditional help he gave to any who asked.
