In loving memory of Regie Wilbert Casselman
1949-2017
Proud father of James, John, and Jenny Casselman. Special Papa to Austin, Faith, Brianna, Hayley, and Hunter Casselman. Friend to the “love of his life” Terry Casselman. Affectionately known as Uncle Viva Puff, Brother, Favourite Father, Dad, Reg, and Papa to the whole neighbourhood.
It is with both sadness, and joy, that we announce the death of our father, Regie Casselman, who passed away peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, April 2, 2017 in London, Ontario. There is great sadness at the loss of his presence in our lives - his smile, his loving winks, and that wonderful sense of humour, as he always tried to get everyone’s goat! But there is also joy, knowing that He is with the Lord, the One who created Him. There is truly no better place to be than in the presence of God.
Regie was born in Callander, Ontario and had nine siblings, whom he loved dearly. Each one held a special place in his heart. Regie was a Die Cutter by trade, known as one of the best in the business. He was a Habs fan (Go HABS Go!), a card player, a fisherman, a golfer, a hockey coach, a lover of the old country twang and family barbecues, and especially shore lunches of pan fried fish! He was proud of all of his children and grandchildren, enjoyed frequent breakfast outings with his sisters, embraced everyone he came in contact with, and was the biggest investor in Tim Horton’s coffee - He brought that Timmies' mug with him everywhere. He was friendly, kind, and hardworking, but he will be remembered most as the man who would give the shirt off his own back just to help someone out. This was dad’s heart - this was his legacy - and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Love you dad!
