Obituary of Jacquelyn Isabelle Sheppard

Jacquelyn Isabelle Sheppard (nee Robinson), passed peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in London, Ontario.  She was predeceased by her husband, R. Paul Sheppard and by her parents, John Harvey Robinson (Inspector of Traffic Safety on the Hamilton Police Force) and Regina (Jean) Grace Robinson nee Connor.

Beloved mother of Shelagh (Jim) Collard, Susan (Bob, deceased) Cann (partner Tom), Scott (Nancy) Sheppard, and Jamie (Linda) Sheppard. Loving Grandmother to Jessica, James (J.P.), Jennifer, Sarah, and Kirsten.  Great Grandma (Grandma Grape) to Judy-Lynn, Jaymi, James, Paul, Lucas, and Rowan.  Jackie took great delight in all her nieces/nephews and greatnieces/great nephews.

Jackie was a long time fan and supporter of all things baseball and was honoured for her contributions to the sport in the London Sports Hall of Fame in 2015 and prior to that was recognized as a Founder of SloPitch National and for her contributions to baseball on an international level, receiving the keys to the city of Louisville, Ky. Jackie loved to travel and was privileged to travel to Soest, Germany with Paul and her children and live there for 3 years and travelled extensively.

Jackie was born in Hamilton, and lived there with her sister and brothers Jill (John) Mills, John (Dianne) Robinson and Jamie(Liz) (Joan) Robinson (deceased) and moved to London with her husband to live and raise her family whilst he served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

A wake/memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m. at The Shack,  Unit-2, 954 Leathorne St, London, ON N5Z 3M5

Jackie was an ardent lover of pets and has asked that she be remembered with donations to the London Humane Society (londonhumanesociety.ca)
