I knew Trish as a child, I was best friends with her son Wade. I spent allot of time at her home with Steve and Wade, they were very good to me, and it gave me a place to escape from my home which most of the time was uncomfortable and volatile. I loved being there, they made me feel safe and it was a calm happy environment. I can't recall a time Trish would ever say no to me staying over at her house.
The things that stand out in my mind about Trish was her cooking, it was always like eating at some fine restaurant to me. I'll never forget the morning at breakfast she taught me how to properly hold a fork and knife when I accidentally dropped a tomato on my lap from my plate. She always kept a neat and cozy house, and she decorated beautifully for the seasons, autumn, Christmas and such.
Sadly as me and Wade grew up life had us part ways. I had no idea she was sick, and I'm sad to hear she's passed on. I will always have those fond memories of her and her family.
And a shout out to Steve, those boat rides and the trip to Algonquin park still remain some of the most special memories as well. ♥
