McMurtry, Sandra Doreen

December 25, 1949 to December 31, 2018

With great sadness the family of Sandy McMurty announces her peaceful passing at St. Joseph Hospice, London on December 31, 2018. Survived by beloved husband Brian William McMurty and loved son Matthew William Harold McMurty (Aug. 10, 1978 to June 6, 1998); her sister Bonnie Martin and brother-in-law Ricky Martin of Peterborough; brother-in-law David McMurty and wife Phyllis of Felton California; nephews Cory Playter and Jeremy Playter.

Predeceased by mother Gertrude and father Harold Davis of Peterborough. Special thanks to loving caregiver Linda Cowey for six years.

Thanks to Victoria Hospital staff and doctors; and St. Joseph Hospice staff who showed compassion in her last days. Sandra’s fight with cancer was all too short a time.

Sandra loved her pet dogs, nature at our farm for 22 years and many trips. Thanks for the support of her “Red Hat” friends. Special thanks to Dr. V. Dua and Dr. Richard Isaac for their support.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date in London at St. Jude’s Anglican Church.
