Obituary of Mary Irene Hammond
Mary Irene Hammond (Lavigne) 97, passed away Friday February
22nd, 2019.
Irene was born January 8th 1922, in Bathurst, New Brunswick,
Preceded in death by 2 spouses, Harvey Woolley (1976) and Jim
Hammond (1986), her siblings and parents. She was the eldest
child and the last member of the Lavigne Family.
She is survived by Daughter, Susan Smith (Gary), Grandson,
James Woolley (Vicki), Great Grandchildren: Justina, Vanessa,
Tiffany (Josh), Jennifer (Jeff), Cody and Jaime Lei (Kyle).
Great Great Grandchildren, Josie, Alexander, Lilly, Serenitee,
Bryanna, Chenoah, Robbie, Sophia, Natilee, Memphis,Talon,
Jade and Rylan, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Irene, fondly known as “Mémère” by her many grandchildren,
will be remembered as a pillar in her family, loving each and every
one equally. She will be forever missed by all, including her dog
Brutus.
Cremation has taken place.
