Obituary of Annie Elva Purdy

On Wed. Jan. 7 2015, Annie Elva Purdy (McKay) was reunited in spirit with Lloyd, her husband of 56 years. Anne’s legacy is her family and network of friends. Her gregarious nature and her sincere interest in other people allowed her to start up a conversation with anyone, anytime, anywhere. She is predeceased by her parents Ira and Ada McKay. Anne will be greatly missed by her son Ken (Paulina), daughter Carol (Gary) and son Don (Kristine). Anne was especially proud of her grandchildren Andrew (Rokhsana), Adam (Korin), and Alexandra (Mark) Purdy, Brian (Jenn), Scott (Lindsay), and Mark Rumas, Kayla, Taylor and Clara Purdy and great grandchildren Olivia, Simon, Abigail, Dylan, Charlotte, Ella and Jack. Loved by sister Winnifred McCrady and extended family across Canada. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am on Saturday January 17th at Fairmont United Church 29 Tweedsmuir Avenue, London until servicetime at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. Interment will occur in the spring at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. A very special thank you to all the caring staff at University Hospital.
