Obituary of Gerald Anthony White

GERALD  ANTHONY  WHITE

 OCT 30, 1955 -SEP 27, 2019   

With his family at his side, Gerry White passed away peacefully at home on Friday  September 27th.  Survived by his loving wife and best friend France Proulx and his daughters Karine Nadeau (Loic),  Emilie Nadeau, April White-Wilkins, Patricia Turner (Chad).

Loving Papa to Keith, Samantha, Audriana and Geneva.   

Predeceased Son of Patricia White (Flanagan) and Donald  White. Loved by his  in-laws Fernande Proulx and Eugene Proulx (Deceased). Never to be forgotten by his brothers and sisters Robert White (Susan), Nancy Dolson (Edward), Marilyn Campbell (Jay), Patti Angell (died 1996), Rose White, Don White (Diana), France St. Louis (Andre) Guylaine Proulx (Richard), Chantal Proulx (Serge), Michel Proulx (Manon). As the "favorite" Uncle he will be missed from his many nieces & nephews. Cheryl, Ben, Ian, Margaret, Rebecca, Burgundy, Gerry, Kevin, Katie, Emerson, Sara, Ryan, Corey &  Kodey.

Gerry was an Iron Worker for his entire work life. He was highly respected by his peers at the Local 700 Iron Workers Union.  He was the Coordinator for the Apprenticeship Program and taught night school welding at Saunders for many years.  He was a journeyman, Forman, General Forman and a Boomer.  He worked all over Ontario, Saskatchewan, Quebec & the US. He loved his job and was respected for his honesty, integrity and his sense of humour . 

Gerry was big on family and he took pride in his manicured lawn and joy in his cooking. He loved being surrounded by friends and family.  Everyone was welcome to share a meal at his table.  He was a truly loved man and the favorite of so many.  His presence was felt by all of us as a kind, generous and loving man.

He was taken to be with his mom on her birthday and will be celebrated on his mother-in-laws birthday, a gift to all!

A special thanks to the VON Palliative Care Unit for their loving support especially his nurse Ms. Jody De Coust.  

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 5th at 11am at St. Patrick's Church at 377 Oakland Ave. London ON followed by a reception at the Victory Legion at  311 Oakland Ave.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the The WarAmps Champ Program, who were very good to the family when they needed help.  You can do this by emailing champ@waramps.ca or by calling direct at 1-800-267-4023.
