Obituary of Robert John Leeder

Robert John Leeder passed away peacefully at Southampton Hospital at 12:38am, October 26^th, 2022. He was in his 62^ndyear. John was predeceased by his father Robert Kenneth Leeder. Born January 28^th, 1961 to parents Consuelo (Connie) Smith and Robert Kenneth Leeder. John is survived by his mother and three children Hailey Leeder, Craige (Amanda) Leeder and Brooke (Jake) Leeder. His grandchildren Dominic, Bentley and Lynkin Leeder will miss him dearly. John is also survived by his sister Mary (Darrell) Belrose, and brother Rick Leeder. John will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. He will be especially missed by his partner of 2 years, Melanie Sutherland, whom he shares many memories.  

John was a hard-working man who spent many years fulfilling his passion in logging and took pride in his business Leeder Logging. He could be described as a family man who would drop anything for his family or friends. John could often be found in his shop and would welcome any visitors for a drink. His strength and resilience was admired by all who knew him.  

A celebration of life will take place on November 12^th, 2022 from 2-5pm at 72 County Road 25, Port Elgin, Ontario (CAW Road). BYOB. One drink will be supplied by the family in memory of John’s life.
