Obituary of Mary Kathryn Elizabeth Wright
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Kathryn Elizabeth Howard Wright or “Kathy” as most of her friends knew her. Kathy passed away peacefully on Saturday April 29, 2023 at St Joseph’s Hospice in London Ontario. Kathy was born on Sept 21, 1937 to proud parents, James P. Howard 1903-April 9,1992 and Mary McGuire. 1909-Aug 4,1963.
Kathy is survived by her brother Mike Howard (Wife Marg and sons Christopher and Mark), her loving husband William Ronald Wright, and her children Christine and Ronnie, and her grandchildren Mathew Balan, Devon Wright, Jordan Wright and Austin Wright.
Kathy’s Family Lived in Eganville, On. until 1946, moved to North bay, On. until 1950, moved to Owen Sound, On. until 1954 then the Family moved to Toronto. She stayed in close touch with Wayne, Isabell, Tom and many others from the Howard and McGuire clans. Kathy went to St Joseph Private Girls school, where she met her best friend Roberta. On graduation of High School, she worked in clerical for the Provincial Government. Met her sailor Ron and got married. A business offer moved Kath & Ron to Jamaica where Christine and Ronnie were born. Returning to Canada in 1965 with two young children in tow Kathy was always there for her family. Dealing with two unruly children and having dinner ready for whatever time Ron got home from his long days at work. They were a perfect match in many ways.Kathy was NOT a great cook and Ron is a trained sailor who will eat anything and everything put in front of him. Kathy was also very much a worrier. Always concerned for everyone else but herself. Your worries are over now Mother! You can finally Rest In Peace!
