I had the privilege of working with Ryan in Burlington for several months. He sat directly across from me and I got to witness his strong work ethic, kindness and calm demeanour on a daily basis. He was always quick to lend a hand and let out a goofy laugh. It's always sad when someone passes but even more so when a good one does.
God bless you, Ryan.

Ryan, you will also be very much missed by your „family“ in Switzerland. We have tried so hard to be of help to you during these difficult years. We are very sorry that the disease was stronger than the love of your family and friends.
In our thoughts we are joining the celebration of life on this afternoon of March 19. Especially in such moments it is very hard to live so far apart.
Your smile and kind character will never be forgotten!

So sorry to hear about Ryan. We had no idea about the cancer situation nor his battle with mental illness, so this obviously came as quite a shock to all of us in the London running community. He'll definitely be missed!

My condolences to Ryan's family. His loss is immeasurably sad.
He was not only first rate at his job, he was, as you will hear over and again, the nicest person you could ever want to work with. I was looking forward to having him back in the office soon and it is devastating, actually I can't quite fathom, that he won't be coming back. I hope solace is found knowing that Ryan was universally liked and admired - as a person, as an athlete and as a colleague. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Ryan in a triathlon club a few years ago. What I remember best about him is his great sense of humour - he always seemed to be smiling, even in the middle of a tough workout. You were taken too soon, Ryan. May the wind always be at your back!

I knew Ryan as a fellow runner; often chasing behind him in long runs and races with the Runner's Choice group. We were on a Shore to Shore team together twice. I always described Ryan as the nicest person I've ever met. He was truly a caring and gentle person. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I hope you are in a state of eternal peace and happiness.
I wish I could've known you better.
We only met once, and you drove me home so that I wouldn't need to rely on the bus; you were nothing short of brilliantly kind.
I'm sorry that I never bought you beer.
I will never forget you.

My condolences. Though I only knew Ryan as an acquaintance, through the running group, I remember him very fondly. He made a great impression on me, and, I'm sure, on everyone he met, as an incredibly nice guy, with always a smile on his face and a positive, uplifting spirit. As a psychologist myself, I have met many people who have struggled with serious physical illnesses, coupled with depression, that unfortunately, these issues inflict good people too, that when these problems hit with force they are often like a tsunami, that there is not much others can do, other than honor their memory by trying to live by their example.

Ryan was truly THE nicest person I have ever met in my life. I am a better person for having had him in my life, and I will miss him very much. Although we hadn't been in contact for some months, our friendship was such that we could pick up as if no time had passed between meetings.
I didn't know he was sick, so this has really left me in a state of shock. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and know that Ryan has touched my life and the lives of many of our mutual friends in a very positive way. I am proud to have called him my friend.
