I am deeply saddened to learn of Ken’s passing. He was a colossus in his outreach and volunteer work to his community. He always managed to get to the heart difficult issues whilst remaining the respect, admiration and affection from all opinions of the spectrum represented.
He had innumerable contacts built up over the years and his passing will be deeply felt by many. His selfless community service is a testament that unsung heroes do not have to wear capes.
My thoughts are with his wife and family at this difficult time but I hope the regard that he was held in by so many can offer some comfort to them as they comprehend such a huge loss.
Extending my deepest sympathies.

Jack and I were so very sad to learn of Ken’s passing. He was always such an inspiring, positive, kind, caring and compassionate human being who made the world a better place. Jack will forever cherish memories of them going together to watch the London Knights play and we always loved our little impromptu visits around the neighbourhood. We will miss him.

Oh Kenny!!!!
I can never thank you enough for taking me under your wing and being an amazing mentor to me years ago. I owe a lot of my success in life to you.
My only regret is that I never had a chance to say "Thank You" for that.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Dear Sandy and family, our sincere condolences to all of you.
I have so many wonderful memories of Ken starting 30+ years ago as new member of the Optimist Club of Byron. Ken was a driving force for forward thinking opportunities for our Club - you knew if Ken was involved it would be fun & there would be a great outcome! Our last silent auction he was even a “security guard” for 2 women bickering over a coffee maker! I also worked closely with Ken for decades writing articles and advertising in The Forest City Connection. His monthly visits to our office were always with his infectious smile & booming laugh! I am also proud to say I own a “ Ken Payne original “ travel frame - a true work of art!
His love of life, family and Optimism were always forefront. A wonderful man who will be missed by all. In time may the funny stories and time spent together give you comfort.
Take care, Heather & Michael Hines

I was surprised and saddened to hear of your father's death. Although I had not seen him in recent years, he was always a generous man with his time and work. I recall many times his help in promoting activities at St. Anne's in his publication. May you all remain buoyed up by the wonderful memories you have in this time of grief as you work through letting go of his physical presence.

So sorry to hear of Ken's passing.
Ken and I grew up in London West a couple of blocks away from each other. I remember when we won the church league floor hockey championship when we were young teenagers.
If not for Ken I would have never met my wife.
Ken and I ran into each other roller skating at Port Stanley. He asked if I wanted to skate the next day at the London Arena. And the rest is history.
My condolences to Ken's family.

Beryl and I have known Ken since 1984, he helped us promote our new business, HAIRAZORS inc
There was many times he did not charge us for the work and advertising work he brilliantly compiled for us
We lost touch when we sold the business but we will never forget you Ken. R.I.P

It’s so hard to think of a single memory to share. Ken, or Mr. Payne as I called him, was a fixture growing up, and he loved to give me a hard time, cracking jokes, then laughing this boisterous laugh that was completely infectious. He never missed a sporting event that his kids played, and it was so clear how he felt about his family. My most sincere heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family, as I know his presence will be missed terribly. He was a great man, and I am so sorry for his passing.
