So sad to hear about Norm’s passing. I used to go to his shop for oil changes. One time I was the last customer for the day so he opened his fridge and offered to join him for a beer. We sat in the shop talking about hockey, Nova Scotia, all kinds of things. It was the kind of heartwarming gesture you’d only find in a small town and Norm was the living embodiment of it. I’m not much of a Bruins fan but I’ll cheer them on for you bud. Rest in peace.

I used to work in the same building as Norm. He'd always welcome me over to have a smoke, a coffee, and a chat. Usually we'd catch up on the news and talk shop about the custies, the Bruins, or what ridiculousness was going on in town at the time. Norm was a hilarious man, a sense of humor unparalleled and rare, his wittcisms always put a smile on my face. I'm going to miss that. I'm also going to miss his Ba Dum Stick, a custom made walking stick with a drum and bells etc on it so by twisting and banging it he could do his own drum rolls. When you came to see Norm you got a conversation and a show! Norm found out I was a Stevie Yzerman fan, he brought over a hockey card of Stevies and told me it liked being in my office more. Cheers Norm. Rest easy sir.
Sincerely Dan Kelly.

My most sincere condolences to Brinda, Norinda, Sherry and Erin.
I have many memories of Norm from playing slo-pitch to darts to hanging around his shop while he was changing my tires or working on my lawn tractor. I will miss our weekly chats as I helped him with his side gig at Faith Maple Estates. He always had a story or joke, and sometimes a repeat from the week before because he forgot that he already told me.
If I mentioned that I needed help he always said “I can do that.” He was a friend and I will miss him.

We've known Norm since he took over from Gary 10 years ago. I've had the pleasure of strumming with him and the guys upon occasion on Friday nights after he closed up. He always had a cheery hello and a corny joke for you. Our condolences to the family.

R.I.P. Norm, always had a good time talking with you at the shop and hearing the jokes, playing darts and seeing the new Bruins gear. Man you loved that team. Thank you for the funny times, like when that couple came in, dressed very elegantly, and we were all in work duds with grease and dirt all over us, they looked shocked at our conversation. Or that tagged pigeon that kept showing up over a period of last summer and would chill with us. We will remember you brother.

Norinda, Erin, Sherry, although I have not seen your Dad for a number of years I often think of our visits and laughs that we had, in particular the barbecue in your backyard where i earned my Boy Scout badge as the food froze while we were eating it, our trip to the East Coast and my stay in the hunting lodge. I love you all and I am thinking of you, sending love in a difficult time. Love Uncle Chuck.

Cousin Norman, you shared Grampa's name and I think his sense of humor along with the mischief in his eyes. The wallet, the plastic shovel joke in our Volkswagon van and the play in the yard at the farm. You kept us laughing. I missed that as we grew up and moved around. To your family, I am sending my love and sympathy at this hard time. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

The news was definitely a shock. Norm became such a huge part of my life over the last few years. If I was going through port Elgin I would stop at the shop and we would spend hours talking often well past close. One of my fondest memories was when my dog passed and Norm found out he instantly said he would clear a place on his wall so he could hang a picture of her. I unfortunately never got the picture to him. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
